Ali Tila is a pastry cook, cookbook author and mother of two. She is an education specialist holding two teaching credentials and a master’s degree in early childhood special education. She formerly worked as an educator for the Los Angeles Unified School District for fifteen years. Ali’s love of cooking began as a seven-year-old making custard from a Mickey Mouse cookbook. As the wife and business partner of Food Network Celebrity Chef Jet Tila, Ali co-owns and manages their culinary empire, including restaurants in Los Angeles and Dallas, a national fast casual concept with Compass Group, and successful culinary consulting business including work with Schwans. Having attended pastry school, Ali’s online cooking demos and live streaming interactive videos on Facebook have hundreds of thousands of views. From baking and pastry to making the perfect steak, her skills in the kitchen are very well rounded and engaging. She has appeared on Cutthroat Kitchen, Guy’s Grocery Games, Beat Bobby Flay, The Kitchen, KTLA 5 morning news and The Home and Family Show. She also created the very popular live streaming segment #EatLikeaPro with Jet that teaches people how to navigate ethnic restaurants, ordering and eating like a pro. She creates family and lifestyle content including kids cooking as well as regularly contributing to and managing her own and Jet’s social media pages. Ali is also a border collie enthusiast and highly experienced dog trainer.
